Our absolute favorite way to enjoy our coffee; morning, noon, and night is to brew it using a french press. There are so many
benefits to this type of brewing process! First, because the coffee grounds stay in direct contact with the boiling water the result is a stronger and richer cup of coffee. The next great benefit is that you get all of the bean; including the essential oils which accounts for that wonderful coffee aroma we all are addicted to. Also, it’s a faster process than using traditional coffee makers especially if you have instant hot water on hand.
The french press has been in use for nearly one hundred years. Today there are a variety of french presses to chose from. Although the glass varieties are pretty in appearance and less expensive we recommend a stainless steel french press. The number one reason that we prefer stainless steel is that the coffee stays at a hotter temperature for a longer period of time. The next reason we chose stainless steel is that it is more durable and durability is a must for an item that will be used everyday and possibly several times a day.
For optimum flavor and experience we recommend grinding your beans just before brewing. Put desired amount of grounds in the french press. Add hot/boiling purified drinking water filling to the top of your french press. Stir gently until all grounds are covered by the water. With plunger lifted all the way up put lid on french press but do not push the plunger down. Wait three to five minutes and then gently push the plunger down all the way. Now pour yourself the most delicious cup of coffee ever!
